DO I PREPARE MY SKIN BEFORE THE APPOINTMENT? Yes, use a body scrub to exfoliate the top layer of skin, paying special attention to elbows, knees, and heels. Your skin needs to be completely free of moisturising cream, deodorant, make-up & perfume. |
WHERE IS THE TANNING SESSION PERFORMED IN MY HOUSE? The Tanning artist will usually setup in the bathroom, with the use of the booth and floor mat the clients surroundings are well protected. |
DOES THE BRONZER WASH OUT? The bronzer is completely water soluble it will wash out of clothes and sheets. |
WHAT IS THE BRONZER? The bronzer is the initial colour you see when the tan is first applied giving an indication of the colour your skin will be. The bronzer will wash off during the 1st shower (8 hours after the tanning session). The DHA is what reacts with the top layer of skin lasting 7-10 days. |
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR THE DHA TO WORK? Within 8 hours you can see a tan but after a further 24 hours. The tan will deepen to a natural glowing healthy tan. |

WHAT ARE THE WAYS TO MAINTAIN THE TAN? Moisturise daily, do not exfoliate your body during this 7-10 day period, only before your next tanning session. We advise against spa baths, extra hot showers and poor quality soap as this will shorten the life of your tan. Brown Sugar body wash is ideal for cleansing the skin. |
